I went into it without any idea if I would like it or not. Sure, there's a lot of corny lines and shaky effects (especially in the forest chase) but the spirit of the original was definitely there.Greg Bishophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06928853660098224055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147219.post-46048614276587330812008-05-27T22:09:00.000-05:002008-05-27T22:09:00.000-05:00Anna-Agreed. I actually thought it was good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147219.post-24954100874617012562008-05-27T11:06:00.000-05:002008-05-27T11:06:00.000-05:00Katie--I think the reviewer was out to get the mov...Katie--

I think the reviewer was out to get the movie from the beginning. The Pitch has generally good writers, but they aren't necessarily smart writers.

Paul--

I love Ebert's reviews and was relieved to read his positive review, which I thought was dead-on.

Indy lives!Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074004681516756703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147219.post-74206867922174969332008-05-27T10:20:00.000-05:002008-05-27T10:20:00.000-05:00Mac,The truth is that most reviewers don't really ...Mac,
The truth is that most reviewers don't really like films. Roger Ebert is an exception, which is why he is one of the few critics I'll bother to read and consider. Note that he gave the new Indy an enthusiastic thumbs up!
PaulPaul Kimballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08804735930733797952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147219.post-72737103938564934632008-05-27T08:36:00.000-05:002008-05-27T08:36:00.000-05:00Considering that reviewer actually seemed *like* t...Considering that reviewer actually seemed *like* the inferior "Temple of Doom", that would have discounted his opinion of the new movie in my mind completely.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06101983582935220159noreply@blogger.com
