Or if the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq were "for the oil" (as Alan Greenspan and a lot of others are now admitting), then we could have mounted several expeditions to Saturn's hydrocarb moon Titan and sucked the damned stuff up directly from the surface into orbital tankers....
