Paul Kimball's rundown of sci-fi babes continues, and so far I don't see "Nova" from "Planet of the Apes" anywhere.

For Christ's sake, Paul, at least give Estella Warren her due for the remake.

    Patience... patience...

    See #4.

As for Estella Warren, she's lovely, but I've blocked out all memories of the re-make, which was...

Well, thank God I've blocked it out!

  2. Why do the apes let the humans in their zoos wear clothes?

In the book they don't. I've always been troubled by the fact that the humans in POA (the movie) are supposedly mindless animals who eke out a living by stealing fruit from the apes' farms, yet *wear animal skins*. I guess the writers couldn't handle nudity and decided that "caveman" was good enough.

And I agree wholeheartedly with Paul that all of Tim Burton's visual whimsy couldn't salvage an incredibly weak (and inconsistent) movie.

And, as pretty as Estella is, she ain't no Linda Harrison!

  4. A couple of years ago on The Howard Stern Show, they had someone talking to Linda Harrison at a SF convention...

Imagine Lunch Lady Doris from the Simpsons talking, with the cigarette dangling from her gob.
