ReplyDeleteThere are two kinds of ID proponents: those that take the Biblical story of 7 day creation literally, and those that do not. The latter have no problems with the theory of macroevolution; what they are in opposition to is the notion that _natural selection_ furnishes the best possible explanation for phenomenon of macroevolution. They will argue that a Higher Intelligence of some sort (i.e., "God") has had a hand in it somewhere, and that this is evident in the breathtaking complexity of biological organisms.
