They're not really, they're just unsteady. And yeah, it's all fun and games until one falls over on you. I know this from experience, unfortunately. Those things are heavy.
I was on the display platform in the process of dressing it. I lost my balance, grabbed for it, and it went down with me, landing on top of me. Not fun.

Nikita gave up to easily, but it's easy to see how she'd be discouraged after Tifanny's winning ride.
