Hmmmm.... 2nd Life might be worth a second look. I've shied away from VR gaming as an entertaining but huge time sink and distraction from more worthwhile pursuits like metaphysics and dough (of the $ variety, that is)....
The interfaces have to improve beyond the screen and mouse (or game control) stage before the VR environment is useful or more exciting to the general public and work environment to give them a choice between "real" world and otherwise.

ReplyDeleteVR will come into its own eventually. Like you, I'm wary of the time commitment involved. Plus my computer's graphics card isn't quite up to the task!
