It so turns out that there's nothing unusual in Oliver's DNA. He's 100% chimp. So why's he different? I'd wager that, somewhere along the long line of evolution the chimps had ancestors which walked upright and resembled hominids in their mannerisms. In other words, Oliver's peculiarity is a case of atavism.
