The dancer on the right is "Elizabeth" (not her real name), a professor/choreographer at a local university with whom I've spent much of the last two days. She likes books. She likes coffee. She likes cats.

I strongly suspect she's living proof that not all women in the Midwest are pretentious bores.

And I'd come this close to conceding utter defeat.

There is intelligent life on the other side of the species, just hard to discover, that’s all, women know that the last thing a guy wants is to be with a woman that’s smarter then him, so they go undercover intelligence wise.
Enjoy every moment of fleeting happiness you can Mac, duration is not a facet of human love, only higher Love lasts forever, but maybe you two can tap into that?
Good luck…

Back to our story…
What we ought to be doing is having the Chinese build big booster rockets for us, we pay them in US bonds, use the boosters to launch power satellites into orbit, when the oil runs out we sell the power back to the Chinese for hard currency, and use this income to then fund a manned US mission to Mars on the Chinese dime!
Woo-Hoo!
If we were smart, that is…
But if we were smart then the Mars Spirit Rover wouldn’t be using the microscope on a pile of rocks, but on the alien artifacts fifteen feet away from it right now…
Sigh.
See today’s sol 553 entry to the Mars blog.
BFsigh…

I sure hope you know her a lot better than those two days before slapping her up on your site for the whole world to see. :)

Good Luck.

I asked permission before posting the picture.

(That's right; she reads this blog.)

Any way, ~0~ came to me and is all freaked out about her (check the comments at the fleeting ones last post).
Does your new girl friend know about Danica? I hope this sudden reappearance does not cause any trouble in you new relationship.

Why doesn’t Danica appear at the fleeting ones blog? I bathe.

The weird thing is that I know very little about dance, but I find it really interesting. It's much more resource-intensive than writing, but probably rewarding in a way that writing isn't. Not to say it's an inherently superior form of expression, but it's certainly different than anything I'm used to. And that's a good thing.
