I think college students would find German literature considerably more intriguing if Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis" had more in common with these alarming French AIDS awareness posters.

More here.

Now I can die in peace.

"One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from anxious dreams, he discovered that in bed he had been changed into a monstrous verminous bug. He lay on his armour-hard back and saw, as he lifted his head up a little, his brown, arched abdomen divided up into rigid bow-like sections. From this height the blanket, just about ready to slide off completely, could hardly stay in place. His numerous legs, pitifully thin in comparison to the rest of his circumference, flickered helplessly before his eyes.

But wait! There next to him in the bed, her eyes still beautifully closed in sleep, lay a woman, gorgeous and well-endowed as any model...."

They may be disturbing but the message comes across loud and clear.

I will never have sex with a scorpion again.

ok i am using the scorpion one for a uni assignment. The class is called reading the media.

I have to focus on what ideology this ad presents of the real world.

What i get from it is people in the real world fear aids victims. They are actually viewed as monsters in the real world (not that i agree this is a correct way to think)

Does anyone have any other reading of that piece.

I the point of them Ad guy is that having unprotected sex is extremely dangerous not that suffers of AIDS are monsters. None the less I find the whole thing deliciously absurd.
