No, upon deeply ludricrous contemplation of same, considering the origin and author, it really isn't. Besides, the book is crappily written! Saying you like the book is more of an indication of lack of sf reading experience and/or character impairment and arrested development. IMHO. ;)

the movie, at least, is hilarious.
For some strange reason I'd like to give the book another try, but if I ever see the movie I'll consider my job done.
