Don't look now, but the Minneapolis bridge collapse has been confirmed as a government conspiracy!

Massive ULF 'Blast' Detected In US Bridge Collapse Catastrophe

Russian Military reports state that the total collapse of such a massive bridge, and in the absence of evidence linking its destruction to terrorist activity, could only have been accomplished by an acoustic weapon, of which the United States Military is known to possess.

(And just in case you're wondering, I'm being extremely sarcastic.)

I'm wondering if there were any Mothman sightings reported prior to the bridge collapse...or if Richard Gere was in the area. *^}

Richard Gere! I *knew* it!

Sarcasm or no, the U.S. government does have a ton of so-called "black ops" of exactly this nature, some so secret they're not even referenced by code names. And I seriously doubt that the people who perpetrate these things give a fig about innocent human lives.

Let me get this straight, WMD--
are you implying this bridge collapse might have actually been caused by some USG secret weapon? If so, why?

And, where you say "...some so secret they're not even referenced by code names", um, how would or could you know that?

WMD, Moi? Only in the sense that I'm a Weapon of My (own) Destruction!

I forget where exactly I read that there were black ops SO "black" they don't even have code names. It was on some Web site (found via link maybe from PB, I seem to recall) that was ABOUT code names for secret projects. (I think it was in connection with Project Blue Book originally, or some such.) If I run across it again, I'll post it.

As to why, well, I think it's called weapons testing. How much more cost-effective to test on a real bridge than a simulated one. Scary stuff, I guarantee. (And note that I'm not saying that this IS the case, only that it's certainly a plausible scenario -- people who write about this kind of thing unfortunately tend to confuse plausibility with proof.)

Interestingly enough, there were a few Mothman sightings reported on Coast to Coast, including one from a lady who drove over the bridge 10 minutes before the collapse. Though of course the veracity of such sightings leaves something to be desired. :P
