Do you like pulp UFO/science fiction covers as much as I do? If so, nirvana is a mere click away!
(Hat tip to Elan.)
"A stunning survey of the latest evidence for intelligent life on Mars. Mac Tonnies brings a thoughtful, balanced and highly accessible approach to one of the most fascinating enigmas of our time."
--Herbie Brennan, author of Martian Genesis and The Atlantis Enigma
"Tonnies drops all predetermined opinions about Mars, and asks us to do the same."
--Greg Bishop, author of Project Beta
"I highly recommend the book for anyone interested in the search for extra-terrestrial artifacts, and the political intrigues that invariably accompany it."
--David Jinks, author of The Monkey and the Tetrahredron
"Mac Tonnies goes where NASA fears to tread and he goes first class."
--Peter Gersten, former Director of Citizens Against UFO Secrecy

OMG, you can't imagine how happy it made me when I got to the bottom and saw that there were 36 MORE PAGES. I think I actually might have made a little squealing sound.

"Quick, we've got to save her from being abducted by those aliens!"
"Brad! BAD idea!"

The Heinlein "Puppet Masters" cover is a real classic of cover art, though.

Chris--
I had essentially the same reaction!
WMB--
Your proposed caption seems pretty accurate to me. The guy in the background seems to be contemplating a rescue attempt while his significant other seems less than enthusiastic about the idea.
These sci fi book and comic covers, along with many others constitute a massive collection of extraordinary art. They are just as beautiful today as they were when first released. In fact there are many galleries where they would easily "fit" in with much of the art being produced today.
