Now this sounds fun: NASA has plans to fire a rocket into the moon to create a six-mile high explosion. Why? To see if there's any water there that we might be able to use if we ever colonize our largest satellite.
Seriously, how awesome will this be?

Seems like an inelegant solution to me. But then again, I'm female. Our brains work differently..
I think it's a bit heavy-handed as well. To say the least.
Doesn't anyone else suspect that the real reason for this might be to destroy a certain buried alien artifact, thus preventing our next major evolutionary leap?
What if it destabilizes the moons orbit and causes it to fall into earth? Aren't there enough doomsday scenarios around yet? ;)
And what's with these colonizing ideas anyway? They can't even make a biosphere work on earth, but they are going to do it on another planet/moon?
Fuck the earth, let's just move to the moon. Yeah, sounds like a plan to me.
To cover up what is there, (Alien artifacts)or what isn't? (Man made objects)
