Carl Sagan and the fourth dimension

I have plenty of issues with Sagan's spurious debunking of UFOs, but I'm unaware of anyone alive today with his ability to elucidate scientific ideas to a lay audience.

I remember seeing this on PBS in (like) 1980 or so.

I have thought about this explanation often, and how it is analogous to the UFO weirdness that get reported.

I remember seeing my pal in high school (on Monday, because COSMOS was on every sunday nite) and he was SO excited about the shadow of the 4th dimensional cube.

The explanation in the book (the "Cosmos" book I mean) about what "powers" fourth-dimensional beings could show in our Universe is even of greater support of the UFO mystery. The lesser of those powers is that such beings would easily materialize inside closed rooms —sound familiar?— and that they would be able to change shape, grow large or reduce themselves.

What about Pluto-phobe Neil?
