I'm interested in podcasting. But I don't want to repackage others' content; I want to actually create my own podcasts. Apparently I'm not as savvy as I thought because I'm not sure how to do this.

My only suggestion, based on having listened to various podcasts for literally weeks, is to get hold of a decent microphone. If the show sounds like it was dictated into a Radio Shack tape recorder, it can be awfully wearing on the ears.

A decent microphone, sorry to say, ain't cheap. At least not by my standards.
