I've seen the future and the future is bald

In sci-fi films, bald women have conveyed a number of things in addition to desexualization, including masculinity, sexual ambiguity, dehumanization, youthfulness, and innocence. And paradoxically, bald women have also been used to portray an enhanced sense of sexuality and control.

I don't find female baldness at all off-putting. I don't have any particular "thing" for it, but I don't understand why it's considered so aberrant.

I was actually considering shaving my head for charity, much like Sars at "Tomato Nation" did, but my hubby ix-nay'd it. I have short hair anyway, so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but he didn't go for the idea much. :)
