Cassini: highest-resolution-ever images of Iapetus

As I write this blog entry, Cassini has already passed its closest approach to Iapetus on its one and only encounter with the yin-yang moon. We won't know for a while yet if its observations were successful, but orbital mechanics dictates that Cassini was in the right place at the right time to take the greatest ever pictures of this really bizarre-looking moon.

that does not really matter. unless we have independent space agency run by people, not government, we'll still be receiving doctored photos from NASA.
the most valid data comes from the 70's, before they (USA government) realised what is going on in our Solar System. novadays one should not trust any photo released by ESA, NASA as the most important data is either not released at all or doctored.

I almost posted this on my site the other day, but I got distracted by other crap.

What do ya think Mac, doctored or straight up?
