Russia tests superstrength bomb

Russia has tested the world's most powerful vacuum bomb, which unleashes a destructive shockwave with the power of a nuclear blast, the military said on Tuesday, dubbing it the "father of all bombs".

The bomb is the latest in a series of new Russian weapons and policy moves as President Vladimir Putin tries to reassert Moscow's role on the international stage.

Allll-righty, then! (Thanks Ace!)

Just what the Soviets, erp, I mean Russians need in their impoverished country--yet another new, unwieldy, impractical, nearly undeliverable (they have to use the huge TU-160 bomber to transport this monstrosity)superbomb! Oh, joy! Happy, happy!
(Thanks, Ren and Stimpy!)

What could possibly be the real-world application of such a non-nuclear nuker? Chechnya? Putin is up to his old "gee, see what we got!" propaganda trickery. The US of A, of course, will now have to make one of these "evil PR toys" at least 3 times even more powerful! Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Sheeeeeeeesh. Jezuz H.(-bomb) Christo in a twisto! Does it ever end? Yep. Badly. Hi ho.
