I borrowed the following "book meme" from Jason (Busy, Busy, Busy).
Number of books I own:
Probably at least a thousand, but not having counted them I can't be certain.
Last book bought:
"Newton's Wake" by Ken MacLeod. I think.
Last book read:
"Master of Space and Time" by Rudy Rucker.
Currently reading:
"Singularity Sky" by Charles Stross, "The Mysterious Valley" by Christopher O'Brien and "Angels and Aliens" by Keith Thompson.
Five books that mean a lot to me:
"Terraplane" by Jack Womack, "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka, "Perdido Street Station" by China Mieville," "1984" by George Orwell, and "Nova Express" by William S. Burroughs.

Newton's Wake is good but lightweight - or lightweight but good, depending on your belief as to how one relates to the other.
A lightweight book by MacLeod? I'm intrigued . . .
Thinner pages perhaps?
