Ironic that such a pithy speech is carried on You Tube, another new Google subsidiary. Talk about monopolistic media consolidation...

The irony wasn't lost on me. That said, I'll take YouTube over "normal" TV anytime.

I actually trust "the Tube" over YouTube. YouTube treats everything as equally significant and equally entertaining, whether it's the beheading of a kidnapped journalist or a cute kitten. That flattening of meaning and significance is the biggest and most dangerous lie of all.

Yeah, but it's up to the viewer to figure it out. The Tube doesn't necessarily allow (or have time for) that luxury.
