Posthuman Blues

I think Blogger is back to normal. It was extremely messed up for a remarkably long time. Anyway, I came to understand just how narcotic the blogging thing has become for me; I actually have this fairly intense need to share bits of esoterica online on a daily basis. It sounds dumb. You're probably smiling to yourself, thinking "This guy's got issues." Go ahead; laugh. But try doing this for a year and a half; your perspective will change. Those bits of "weird news" and fragments of self-obsessed commentary take on a special importance; posting them becomes a ritual, arguably an obtuse form of worship. Blogger demands sacrificial offerings, and the foremost among them is your time. No wonder William Gibson threw in the towel.
