Oh, yeah -- Malin Space Science Systems has taken -- and actually released -- yet another high-resolution photo of the Face on Mars.

Remember Mike Malin's sustained rants about how near-impossibly difficult imaging the Face with the Mars Global Surveyor would be? Paradoxically enough, MSSS continues to target the Face despite a mostly apathetic "fringe" community.

What this means, simply, is that someone in charge of the MGS is interested in the Face for reasons of his own or else taking pains to foster that impression.

it still seems to show the hallmarks of a "structure" which has partially collapsed on itself.

Yes. The eastern (right-hand) half has seen better days. Nevertheless, there's some striking symmetry.

(Hey folks, this is only a conspiarcy theory.)

Maybe not as bizarre as it seems.

looks more like a plain old pile of sand than ever.

Using Bible Code techniques on issue 243 of "Archie and Jughead Comics", we find the following messages in a matrix:

"pile of sand on Mars"
"trade paperbacks"
"bilking the gullible"

Statistical analysis by noted Bible Code expert Moishe Tzvee of Hebrew University, Canarsie, Brooklyn, shows that the odds against finding such a matrix in a given Archie and Jughead Comix is 10^100 to one, thus proving that the Pile of Sand on Mars was placed there by G-d as a way for authors with nothing to say to still make a living off the feeble minded.

let those with living funny bones (unlike you apparently lizzy) hear.

BTW Im Prof. Tzvee's second cousin, and my speciality is finding bible codes in harlequin romance novels, not comixs.

the better the photos, the more natural it looks to me.

the most i can admit, is that it looks not at all like a face, but it might conceivably be an artificial structure. might. but barring closer examination, it's hard to say much more than that.

If artificial, the Face most likely served as a habitat. I have trouble accepting that it's "merely" a monument with no utilitarian function.

The Cahokia Mounds, for example, were originally topped with wooden structures. It's possible the "Martians" possessed a comparable technology; we tend to assume they were high-tech, but perhaps not...

i know what u mean. when im looking at the clouds and i see a sailing ship i have trouble accepting that theres not really little sailors in it.
