Finished 2012 last month. Not a bad read but devolves into some pretty hokey Hollywood garbage. Beyond that it's a really good insight into Whitley's somewhat twisted attempts to fit the square peg of religion into the round hole of Ufology. It's amazing what people will come up with to rationalize primitive belief structures.

Anyway, this is classic Strieber "fiction" which jumps all over the map in a futile attempt to "explain it all". He's a great writer though (loved the mutilation scene in the bowels of the Earth) and it was an entertaining read.

I'm 60 pages into it. Hokey as hell but addictive. The parallel universe thing isn't working for me; "Wiley" strikes me as incredibly shallow and unbelievable. (And no, the irony isn't lost on me!)
