"There has got to be the potential for that and one is left with the uneasy feeling that if it turned out to be so, there is very little we could do about it," he said.
"If you believe these things are extra terrestrial craft then you cannot rule out that what is happening is some kind of covert reconnaissance."

They misrepresented Nick Pope, who's a sensible, balanced voice. All he did was urge investigatory caution -- so they make him sound like a kook claiming an invasion is imminent.

Whos to say "they" haven't already attacked?! They may just be bug sized or invisible. Things are so bad on this planet at presnt, it looks like we're under some sort of attack. Hi-tech weapons wouldn't be needed just something like "global Warming" to fit "Their" skin? Yep, ET is already here...
