Gee, maybe _God_ told the creationist to kill the evolutionist--ya' know, just a bit of that ol' kosmic karma! Believe or die!

But it sounds like both were just completely drunk off their asses. Too bad someone died for another's false beliefs. The perp, although he was the one with the knife, claimed that he was attacked, and pled self-defense.

And the judge ("Justice Adams") injected some rather curious speculations into his findings which converted the murder charges into a finding of manslaughter, with a short 5 year sentence--the murderer will be eligible for parole in a little over 2 years from now.

"Justice Adams said he had given York a sentence at the lower end of the scale, partly because of the accidental nature of the stabbing.

[Gosh. Just an _accident_. Whoops!]

"I do not believe that he took aim but rather thrust out," Justice Adams said.

"I think he knew that the knife was in his hand ... but he did not actually turn his mind to the potentially serious consequences of doing this.

"The offender is a person of good character and the offence is a complete aberration.""

Wow! So the judge is also a mind reader. Calling Mr. Kreskin! How much do you want to bet Justice Adams considers himself a "good Christian?"

Remember now, for future reference or rationale, if you have mainstream false religious beliefs, you can even get away with murder! The last 6,000 years of human history proves it.

Unfortunately that's the way it seems, although I've known some pretty non-violent Christians in my life.

Playing religion off from people's beliefs have been a tried and true method of manipulation over the centuries though.
