Here's a pretty dreadful new image of the Face on Mars and nearby formations. It's extremely grainy and washed out. No doubt some pseudoskeptics will seize on the poor image quality to once again "debunk" the Face. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm not sure I agree. I think a great deal of the "shape-shifting" is simply resolution and rectification (or lack thereof).
There was some early speculation that the Face was designed to "evolve" from a more simian resemblance to a more contemporary humanoid resemblance over the course of the day, but I don't think the new images have borne this out. I'm inclined to think the Face (if artificial) was designed to look rather stoic and "primal."
