Nah, I don't buy it. That whale has a droopy-ass dorsal fin, if that's the case. The curve is all wrong.

I kinda like the 'giant eel' explanation, but I'm still not sure.

The photo, of course, is a confessed fake, which is what makes the "explanation" so funny.

The use of the word "proves" in the article also represents a logical fallacy since, obviously, the photo "proved" nothing, and would not have proved anything even if it were NOT a fake. In fact, if people on both sides of the anomalistic fence would stop using the word "proves" in this sense, period, their arguments would MAKE a lot more sense.
