Beats hell out of Big Dog. But the underlying principle is identical -- computational mimicry of human movement. But for computers to exhibit genuine AI, they will have to speak and understand human language and I'm betting that won't happen any time soon, possibly not even within our lifetimes. This prediction stems not from my belief that this impossible -- I think it's very possible in theory -- but from the prevailing scientific paradigm and its endemic and materialistic mind-brain misidentification fallacy.
