"What Else Is There?"

I have no words to describe how cool this video is.

Nicely understated, too. I just might seek out the CD.

Great video. It's not too often I can listen to any song for the first time and really like it such as this one.

I couldn't grasp her depth in the story so I would have to think about it but what did come to my mind was the woman calling her friend on her cell phone saying that she made a horrible mistake and should have gotten off the island. Her body was found a couple of days later about 8 miles away from where her home once stood in Galveston after the hurricane.

Oh wow.

If I'm not mistaken, that's The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson on vocals. If you like this, you should check out The Knife's discography, as well as her solo work.

I've been collecting Röyksopp songs for a few years now. This video reminds of many dreams... beautiful, haunting.

@Paul

I'd never even heard of this artist until today. I am truly out of it.

Great video from a great album - Royksopp's new album 'Junior' is well worth getting (as is 'The Understanding' from where this track comes). The singer is Karen Dreijer Anderson who forms one half of The Knife and has just released her solo album under the name of Fever Ray. Fever Ray will appear on tomorrow's post at The Far Queue

@Mac: There's lots of really great Scandinavian electronic music these days, and I'm by no means an expert. Few of my faves:

Besides the fact I cannot get this song out of my head, I discovered what it was I was thinking about when I first saw this video. I pieced it all together and put it in a post of mine.

Eerie as hell. Coincidences all over the place but I'm sure just that - coincidences - Down to the flashlight.
