Personally, I'd rather tackle alien invasion drunkenly, but at least someone's thinking ahead.
There's no point considering such beings because, until we begin to approach their level, there's nothing we can do if they choose to be hostile. And by the time we are at that level, we'd already *know* where there are ETs anyway.
