I had my hair cut tonight. The stylist held a mirror behind my head so I could see if I liked the result . . . and that's when I saw it. It's not a bald spot -- yet -- but my hair is beginning to thin out. Of course, I knew perfectly well this was coming; the issue now is what I do about it.
I figure I probably have another five years left, give or take. Nevertheless, I once made a pact with myself that if I started visibly losing hair I'd deal with it sensibly, like Michael Stipe. But now, confronted with irrevocable evidence of incipient hair loss, I'm waffling. After all, maybe I'm being too rash. It's not that bad . . .
Damn it.

There's only one thing to do...
Become a Red Sox fan!

I definitely see hats in my future.
Just remember that baldness is a sign of both virility and smart-talkin'-dudeness. ;-)
That, and the fact that the two greatest Starfleet captains ever were both bald.

Two words: Nick Redfern.
Don't cover it up with a hat, embrace it! I know A LOT of women who find bald men sexy, and given time could rattle off a list of guys as long as your arm. :o)
As a fellow sufferer, I commiserate. But, as Paul says, it means we are virile manly men.
I did try the head shaving, but have opted to stick with the close-cropped fuzz.

Shave it all off. I've started now so I won't miss it when/(if?) my own hair-loss begins.
Oh man. I know I said I'd deal with it when it happened, but ever since Jessica told me I'm thinning a bit I haven't gotten a haircut. She doesn't know why yet, but she'll find out...tough days ahead my friend. ;-)
I've decided I'm not gonna shave it quite yet. And when I do, I think I'll opt for "fuzz." In the meantime, I'll enjoy what I have ... which isn't a hell of a lot!
I hope you realize that if you do opt for the shaved look, you'll also be forced to wear cool shades 24/7.
Whatever it takes! :-)
