Great post. I tried commenting but it appears to be broken. I enter the correct code and I get: "Error: Invlaid validation code entered. Comment not saved." Which is ironic because I was trying to say: "8. Our reality is a simulation, a buggy one that requires UFOs to mask otherwise fatal errors."
:-)
Try again later. It sounds like a problem on SETI.com's end to me.
Hmmm--I just posted a couple comments there within the last hour, and had no problems.
Oddly, however, unlike blogger/blogspot, more recent comments are appended _above_ older comments, the opposite of how comments display here (which is oldest first, followed by more recent or newer comments below or following).
I wish seti.com did it like here--the comment thread would be more linear, and thus more comprehensible, especially when at least part of a newer comment is in reference to a prior comment. You also cannot use any non-alphanumeric characters in the "name" field, like . / ^ etc.
Any way you might be able to get seti.com to change the comment order, Mac, if you agree that might make the comments read better or more logically?
And while you're at it, get them to make it easier to post a comment in general. As I recall, last time I tried, it took me four or five tries before the comment "took."
I read all the comments and I think that this is one of the best opinions I that I have ever read!
I'd say this is a very good post, I think there are some tings are missing but that's not bad enough.
I had never read something like this, there were some things I had changed but that's perfect.
