--Greg Bishop, author of Project Beta
"I highly recommend the book for anyone interested in the search for extra-terrestrial artifacts, and the political intrigues that invariably accompany it."

Don't be too excited. (I.e., I actually got to listen to an advance copy of the album and...ummm, it's really not very good.)
Portishead? Not good? I don't buy it.
sounds like they've been listening to lots of silver apples, 60's era sci-fi flicks, and of their typical noirish stuff. It's good if you like that sound but its definitely a change. it's been 10 years for crissakes.
Been waiting for album for a few years now. I don't buy much new music, but this will definitely be one of them. A favorite. It will be hard to live up to the previous disks. Probably part of the reason they've waited so long. Love Fiona Apple too, but she's only had 3 albums in 10+ years. Same with Mazzy Star, only 3 or 4 albums, but that's part of what makes it so good... IMO.
