This one's from February. I found it at Unknown Country (surprise!) and have no idea if it's legit or so much fear-mongering. Frankly, I've always attributed talk of Nazi-esque railcars and massive secret prisons to paranoid delusion. Comments welcome.

Rule by fear or rule by law?

Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees.

According to diplomat and author Peter Dale Scott, the KBR contract is part of a Homeland Security plan titled ENDGAME, which sets as its goal the removal of "all removable aliens" and "potential terrorists."

Fraud-busters such as Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, have complained about these contracts, saying that more taxpayer dollars should not go to taxpayer-gouging Halliburton. But the real question is: What kind of "new programs" require the construction and refurbishment of detention facilities in nearly every state of the union with the capacity to house perhaps millions of people?

It's my guess that the USA, like other countries is getting ready for the mass disobedience thats due from its citizens. There's only so much people will take from Draconian, Big Brother states...

Ask yourself, "Why do we have 'free speech' zones", "Patriot Acts I & II", "expansion of domestic wiretapping", "1/5 of Americans believe the Sun revolves around the Earth", "McCain advisor advocates wiping out Islam" and "Why Adm. Fallon resigns from CENTCOM?", you'd still only have part of the big picture.

Is it paranoid to think our government would gather up its citizens to enforce fear and draconian laws?

Someone told me once "it ain't paranoid if it's true".

Interesting times indeed.

Dad2059 is pretty much, "on the money", and I do mean money, with his analysis.

Indeed.

Other entertaining theories include population displacement due to some massive "event". Illegals spilling in from all sides.

One way or the other though, it's all bad.

The Internet is the last true "free speech zone" and I'm sure the cryptofascists will come after that sooner or later....

(Cryptofascism: The fascism that dare not speak bits name.)

How supposedly rational people (actually, that lets out most politicians, alas) can NOT equate these types of internment camps with what the Nazis managed to accomplish in this area is completely beyond me.

Conspiratorialist that I am (I confess), I can't help suspecting that there is some extremely sneaky psywar stuff going on in this regard, courtesy the Secret Government (which is real, folks, which is real).
