Get Ready For Antigravity! And Other Pieces of Sadly Incorrect Futurism

This piece from the 1930s shows scientists trying to come up with antigravity -- now it's more than 50 years later and we're still waiting on hoverpads and floating grav-lifts. This poster is part of a series of eight that all showcase futures we should have had by now, like fish bowl swimming pools, flapwing flycars, and mining on the moon.

As you're fond of saying, Mac, where's my aircar?

Yeah, damn straight! Where's _my_ flying car, too! And I only live an hour away from the grand-daddy of the real-soon-now version, Moller air car. He has factory (read: potential investors) tours every Tuesday afternoon.

I'm thinking when I have to the time to waste someday, I should take the tour, with a videocam, and at the end of the tour, turn to the guide and utter the inevitable words: "Hey, where's my damn flying car?!?!?" Heh. 8^}
