This Java chessboard visualizes the computer's "thought" processes. Wouldn't it be swell if people were as transparent?

I began a game of chess with the "java machine," and even though I could see what moves it was contemplating, it still beat me.

This is a very inovative use of Java--check it out.

It's quite an experience. I love the visual patterns when it's "thinking." In my last game, though I was down by a couple of pieces, I played it to a perpetual check and a draw.
