Has anyone EVER tried to explain how it is that "geological formations" can have perfectly straight sides?
I'm not particularly surprised to see mesas with straight sides in the Cydonia region -- or anywhere else, for that matter. But when the straight sides form precise rectangles (as in the case of the Face's framing mesa), I'm intrigued.
(The Face has a strong nonfractal terrain signature. In other words, it doesn't appear natural compared to the surrounding terrain. It's *qualitatively* weird. This isn't an argument about certain people "seeing faces," as NASA would have it.)
So where is it, folks, as, say, a similar natural formation on Earth?
A key component of NASA's Face-debunking campaign is ignoring the other oddities in the Cydonia region. At most you'll hear a vague reference to "other objects," but NASA is very careful not to tell us what they are.
The irony is that some think geometric objects like the D&M Pyramid are much more convincing evidence than the Face; in fact, some pro-artificiality researchers dismiss the Face entirely, although I suspect this is politically motivated.
