The dependably ludicrous Kal Korff is claiming that I've gravely insulted the Arab community. Or something like that. (I'd joked about an unattributed "byline" photo of a man in Middle Eastern garb. Korff wasted no time replacing it with an animated GIF of a spooky, hooded figure. Maybe it's still posted; I haven't bothered checking.) The gist of Korff's tirade is that I'm culturally insensitive. (I'm not exactly sure how that works -- but then again, I'm still scratching my head at claims of 500 book mega-deals and nonexistent intelligence "meta-organizations." Maybe it's just me.)

In any event, I'm through with Korff's malignant make-believe. This blog deserves better. I have a life to live, a book to finish and espresso to drink. That said, I enthusiastically recommend giving the K-Man's site a look once in a while. Like a particularly gory car accident, you can't help but gaze at it with a paradoxical mixture of revulsion and wonder. Korff's rants about transparently bogus lawsuits are eclipsed only by the photos cited as "teasers" from his ever-mythical reality-television drama.

I'm sure Liona would agree.

Don't forget you also have aplay to finish! :-)

A note about a TV series, by the way - in order to have a TV series, one actually has to have a broadcaster, so it can air on, well, television. Putting videos up on YouTube, or whatever, doesn't count. All these many months later, and Mr. Korff still hasn't mentioned which network or broadcaster, exactly, is going to air Secret Wars. Believe me, as a television producer, I would never claim to have a television series unless I actually had a broadcaster, and if I did have a broadcaster, I would certainly not keep it a secret. Nor would any of my colleagues.

As always, I'm just sayin'.

I haven't! No, really!

You're being pretty charitable to Korff for even entertaining the idea that there's a series to be made. I think it's all masturbatory vaporware, personally, just like the ever-changing line-up of silly books, for which Korff is both author and art department.

If you actually expect to see "DumbSchmitt" -- or any other "Secret Wars" title -- on an actual bookshelf, stand on your head.

Kal Korff is a smoldering turd. Anyone giving Kal Korff a fart of credibility or promoting his absurd claims should have their head examine. I hear Kal Korff on that internet radio show X zone and can't believe the guy running that show would ever allow Kal Korff a place to play out his delusions. But the host of that show apparently will buy any bullshit spoon fed to him. Too bad because when he finally realizes what sort of a psycho Kal Korff is (my opinion here based on his weirdness) it will be too late.

Hey, I dig this bit Korff put on his site about his post being constitutionally protected. Korff-ass would never have the guts to come to the states and talk the kind of shit he talks. Yep, Korff envokes his rights but fuck the rights of everyone else when what they say opposes his opinion or fantasies. What a piece of shit this Korff character is.

I disagree. I predict the host in question will continue to milk Korff for sheer entertainment value, which could very well be what he's doing right now. Kal's so obviously out-to-lunch that I can't help but suspect he's being played for the colorful chucklehead he is.

Poignant, huh?

I made it through his YouTube rant about Royce Meyers III. What's striking about it (besides the obvious) is that he cites his own disdain for Kevin Randle as one of the reasons he wants to sue Meyers.

Aside from the fact that there is no lawsuit and will never be a lawsuit, Korff himself gives no viable reason for a lawsuit in the first place -- just a litany of personal grudges.

He can't even maintain a coherent fantasy world, let alone function in the real one.

You have to admit, Korff is entertaining.

That's one word for it.

Mac...seriously, why do you give a flying rats ass about Kal Korff? I mean who is this turd anyway and why do we care what he has to say?

I wouldn't waste blog space on the guy personally. He's boring and apparently delusional.

I agree on both counts. That's why I wrote this post: to (hopefully) wash my hands of him. The problem is that he's a regular on a radio program and I don't enjoy being a target. Intimating that I'm anti-Arab is a serious and ugly accusation, even if it's uttered by an evident lunatic.

Well I understand not wanting to be slandered in public by an idiot (that stings). My feeling however is that the longer you ignore him the more likely it is he'll focus elsewhere. Or at the very least DO NOT give this guy any play publicly (he'll continue to feed on that).

You're in an odd subset of "the spotlight" so in some respects you're going to have to grow a thicker skin and or selectively filter your reality. "Kal Korff" needs to be added to your minds junk mail folder.
