An international panel of two dozen former pilots and government officials called on the U.S. government on Monday to reopen its generation-old UFO investigation as a matter of safety and security given continuing reports about flying discs, glowing spheres and other strange sightings.
"Especially after the attacks of 9/11, it is no longer satisfactory to ignore radar returns . . . which cannot be associated with performances of existing aircraft and helicopters," they said in a statement released at a news conference.
The panelists from seven countries, including former senior military officers, said they had each seen a UFO or conducted an official investigation into UFO phenomena.

Bring it on! Whether government documents solve or deepen the mystery surrounding the phenomenon it is well past time for "disclosure" or what ever you want to call it. Freedom of information is important to the future of our freedom. Government secrecy acts are dangerous and we should be skeptical about information deemed too sensitive for the people to know.
And now that clown Greer is renewing his "disclosure project" efforts. Good Lord.
"...reopen its generation-old UFO investigation."
The investigation was never closed, except to the public.
Within 5 to 10 years time, it will be proven that they just took the investigations "deep black", starting in 1953.
And now that clown Greer is renewing his "disclosure project" efforts. Good Lord.
This will inevitably confuse matters and culminate with the mainstream press becoming thoroughly sick of the "UFO beat." Coincidence?
Personally, I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of pilot sightings (especially military pilot sightings) may be bogus and even disinformational. And I mean by bogus that they actually make these things up out of whole cloth. (Pilots in general are known for having a strong prankster streak, I think....)
