"A stunning survey of the latest evidence for intelligent life on Mars. Mac Tonnies brings a thoughtful, balanced and highly accessible approach to one of the most fascinating enigmas of our time."
--Herbie Brennan, author of Martian Genesis and The Atlantis Enigma
"Tonnies drops all predetermined opinions about Mars, and asks us to do the same."
--Greg Bishop, author of Project Beta
"I highly recommend the book for anyone interested in the search for extra-terrestrial artifacts, and the political intrigues that invariably accompany it."
--David Jinks, author of The Monkey and the Tetrahredron
"Mac Tonnies goes where NASA fears to tread and he goes first class."
--Peter Gersten, former Director of Citizens Against UFO Secrecy

if you weren't so darn subversive maybe they would leave you alone!!
And who shall watch the watchers?
And who watches the watchers of the watchers? Us, maybe.
Mac, we all have long suspected you of some insidious, nefarious alien conspiracy--just thinking and speaking out as you do, we must assume you are a major national security risk in league with demonic forces! Bwahaha!

Welcome to the future...
They're just following orders of course. Er...where have we heard that before?

Ha. Yeah, I'm a real trouble-maker. What was that Burroughs said about a nation where no one is allowed to mind his own business?
This makes me somehow grateful that my packages AREN'T being opened...at least not yet. I probably have as much reason to fear HS as you, Mac, since I routinely post rather virulent anti-Bush/Cheney administration rants on a number of Web sites. (Of course, so do many of the other posters -- maybe there's safety in numbers....)
Maybe it's because you have close ties to a well-known "rogue state" -- Canada!

I more or less dumped "venting" my laments about the W administration a long time ago, so I don't see why I warrant the "special treatment."
Hey, maybe it's my UFO essays! Boy, *that* would be flattering! :-)

Wait until your local firefighter becames a special agent for Homeland Security.

Of course, with citizens busy spying on each other and their government spying on them in turn, the bad guys just sit back and laugh as we destroy ourselves. ("The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street.")
Ray
True ray.
In this case paranoia can be a good thing.
"The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" --Twilight Zone episode
I saw this again fairly recently on the SciFi channel late one night. One of the best episodes ever. Hope it's not prophetic...
Mac--consider an FOIA/PA to DHS.
